Christmas in Cobh, brought to you by See You In Cobh will officially start when Santa arrives in Cobh TOMORROW Saturday 3rd December.
Santa and his helpers will arrive on Cobh’s newest tourist attraction, the Cobh Road Train from the Holy Ground to the Town Centre at 12 noon. They will stop briefly at the Old Town Hall before traveling along the town to his magical Grotto in the Sirius Arts Centre. Here he will greet children from 12.15pm to 5.00pm. Visits to Santa, including a parcel will cost €5. A photographer will also be on hand to capture the special moments.
Throughout the afternoon there will be festive music and song in the town as Katie McGroarty and the Cork Animal Care Society perform Christmas favourites as a part of their Christmas fundraising campaign.
A free Children's Arts and Crafts workshop will also be held. Simply drop into Cobh Heritage Centre any time from 1 pm to 5 pm and let the children enjoy creating Christmas handicrafts while parents can enjoy a tasty treat from the Queenstown café or browse through Christys Stores for that special gift.
At 5.00pm Santa will join in the Children’s Torch Lit Procession led by St. Colman’s Pipe Band from Cobh Heritage Centre to the Christmas Tree. Children are encouraged to dress all Christmassy and to bring a torch, glow stick or a night light in a jam jar. The Switching on of the Christmas lights will take place at 5.30pm, with Cobh Confraternity Band adding to the festive atmosphere.
Later that evening the Mayor’s Christmas Concert will be held in the Commodore Hotel at 8pm. An Audience with Jim Quinlan is sure to entertain and lift the Christmas spirit. Tickets are available from the Commodore Hotel and the Great Island Community Centre for just €10.

CBI remarks against Gujarat court are 'nonsense,' says Supreme Court

What Supreme Court judges Said:-
"To say the judiciary even at the lower rung is toeing the political line, trying to favour politicians, is complete non- sense... we will protect the judiciary. One or two individual may commit mistakes," the Supreme Court judges said today.
The BJP government in Gujarat challenged the CBI affidavit which declares that those accused of a role in Mr Sheikh's murder have "the presence of their kith and kin as prosecutors as well as judges in subordinate courts" who could influence the trial. The government was also upset with the CBI's contention that "in view of the surcharged communal atmosphere prevailing in the state, the trial (should) be transferred." The government countered that a sweeping statement like this is "highly irresponsible and deplorable."
Mr Sheikh, a petty criminal was shot dead by the Gujarat police in November 2005. The police originally claimed that he was a terrorist from the Lashkar-e-Taiba. But investigations suggest that he was shot for trying to blackmail powerful marble traders in neighbouring Rajasthan. They allegedly approached Mr Shah, who was then Home Minister, for help. The CBI contends that Mr Shah ordered Mr Sheikh's assassination.

Maurício Hornek eu fiquei curioso com esse american horror story, o que me surpreendeu, já que eu geralmente odeio séries. fui ver o episódio de ontem, que parecia BASTANTE PROMISSOR: só comprovou pq eu repudio tanto séries. um monte de situações que não se concluem (juro, cada cena deixa algo em aberto, só pra aumentar a tensão), muita encheção de linguiça (oh, a casa tinha um médico que fez alguma merda com um bebê e bla bla bla)... a Ingrid Rosa me disse que é pra manter o suspense até o final da temporada, mas de buena: ctz que vão achar umas soluções mto banais pra cada coisinha que deixam sem explicação, o que me lembra aquele quadro de horror do antigo programa do João Kleber, onde mostrava uma história "verídica" de fantasmas e ele ficava o tempo todo dizendo, entre milhões de comerciais, de "como o final vai te chocar, é muito forte, um absurdo, como deixam isso passar na tv!", pra no final, o "plot twist" ser algo totalmente idiota. a solução, caso queira continuar a dar chance é: 1. ver no wikipedia o que acontece nos próximos episódios 2. baixar a série. eu não baixo nem filme direito, minha internet não colabora. vou lá baixar SÉRIE, que é um troço que eu nem gosto?
